Installation Instructions for Low Ambient Kit Used on KGKCKHKD Packaged Units

Typical Installation of Low Ambient Pressure Switch S11 and Relay K58

1. Pressure Switch Wiring
   • Disconnect wires marked S11 as shown in figure 7 for ZGZC units and figure 9 for KGKC.
2. Relay Wiring
   • Check if the unit has a mechanical fitting high-pressure switch. If not, install a tee fitting on the condensing unit liquid.
   • Remove the plastic plug from P4-4 on the circuit board.
   • Connect the brown wire from the low-pressure switch to terminal 4 of the relay.
   • Connect the black wire from the low-pressure switch to terminal 5 of the relay.
   • Connect the red wire to terminal 6 of the relay and then to terminal 1 of the compressor contactor.
3. Ambient Temperature Sensor
   • Insert the ambient temperature sensor into the plug located at P4-4.
4. Electrical Connections
   • Connect the power supply wires to the unit as per the wiring diagram.
   • Connect the 240V terminal to the 208V terminal as shown on the wiring diagram.
5. Final Checks
   • Ensure all electrical connections are secure.
   • Turn on the power to the unit and check for proper operation.

NOTE: Use ONLY expansion valve metering devices on units with low ambient kits.
